Tricky race to kick things off with a few who have been knocking on the door up against some debutants or first-starters who have impressed at the trials. POSITIVE IMAGE (3) is one of those who has trialled well, with two wins and a second, which suggests he took benefit from the debut prep. SWOBODA (10) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Terang, finishing fourth. She's up to this challenge. WILD ROSES GROW (12) is still a maiden after nine starts but managed to fill a minor placing at this track two starts back when about a head behind the winner. HINEY'S BAR (1) gets to the races after some nice jumpouts, the latest a win over 4 ½f at Warrnambool. Comes right into it after scratchings.
