Verdict

AVONVIEW (1) looks nicely placed to keep the ball rolling, relishing the heavy going at Kilmore when last seen to score well as a narrow favourite. He's drawn wide here but can roll forward and take beating again. UP AND UNDER (4) has been around the mark in both starts this time in, boxing on well for fourth at Ararat second up. He doesn't win many (1/30) but can certainly place at odds. MASH AND GRAVY (6) struggled last time at Wangaratta but has won a hurdle trial since and that could spark him back to form. THE GRUMP (16) has had three runs back and been around the mark, up in trip should suit nicely now and he can get into the finish.
