Verdict

MAHERSHALA (17) is a progressive 3yo gelding who resumed with a dominant maiden win at Seymour over 5f, sent out a prohibitive quote but justifying it wholly, coming away to win by 3.5 lengths. He's open to plenty of improvement and up to 6f will suit nicely. REGAL MIGHT (8) can run well at odds. He's off a let up here but ran a great race fresh behind Prince Tycoon who has since placed in the Listed Creswick Stakes. He draws the inside, kicks up to lead and can give a bold sight. MONGOLIAN GOBI (6) was well backed in Adelaide lat time but couldn't figure. The win prior at Pakenham reads well, look for a better effort. STAY HUMBLE (3) was good off a long break at Mornington and has strong claims as well.
