Verdict

FARCITED (1) finds the right race. Two runs back from a long break have been good, getting into third at Caulfield behind a dominant all the way winner before a sound effort last time. Out of 3yo company now but can improve again and gets Zahra on from an ideal draw. QUEEN CHRISTINE (9) is flying having won her past two dominantly. She was far too good for a decent field over this route last time and will take plenty of catching again. STAR TRIP (11) was much better second up at Sandown Hillside and should be fitter again. He's still got plety of upside and maps well with the claim. CYBER LINK (10) resumes having shown ability last time in, watch the market with Williams booked. IVAN'S HERO (6) next best first up.

Horse Racing Basic Terms

Main Track Only

A horse entered for main track only (MTO) is one hoping the weather forecast or track conditions will move the race off the turf course and onto the main track. They are scratched the morning of the race if the conditions stay dry.

Rabbit

Also known as a pacemaker; this is a horse with no expected chance of winning but is used to prompt a quick pace on the front end of the race to the benefit of a stablemate who is a closer.

Bobble/Stumble

A slip or a duck from a horse trying to leave the starting gates, often caused by the surface giving way under the feet. This can range from a mild misstep to a stumble down to their knees.
