Verdict

Tricky little affair but the likely map might work best for MONGOLIAN MISSION (7) who is knocking on the door. He's had a few runs this time in but has been right there and was well backed behind a good one at Caulfield Heath last time. Fresh into this, he can land in a handy position and get the job done. MCWOODY (2) got home well enough in a dash to the post first up at Sandown Hillside. He showed good staying promise in his maiden campaign, 1m here from the inside gate could be a touch sticky. OBVIOUS (1) did enough first up at Pakenham over 7f when sticking on nicely for third. He'll strip fitter and prove hard to hold out. YAUSON (3) got the upper hand to score narrowly on debut and is open to further improvement, respecting.
