THE BENCHMARK (5) debuted in a Future Stars Heat at Pakenham and ran a great race, sent out at $21, racing wide and proving strong to the line in second. He should be better for that and draws for every chance this time. SALUDAR (4) started $5 in the same race at Pakenham and wasn't far away in fourth, only a length behind The Benchmark. He had his chance there but should improve and maps for every hope again. LOUD CHARLIE (3) hit the line well on debut at Terang behind Asakura who has won well again since. Expecting that form to hold up nicely. CANNAE (2) is a gelding by Maurice on debut for the in-form O'Brien yard. He's won a trial leading in and Damian Lane booked is a good lead.
