Verdict

Tricky race to kick off the card. SIMPLY STEFFI (10) resumes. She wasn't beaten far in a Listed race on debut before winning her maiden nicely. She again wasn't far away in a G3 before a spell and finds a nice race down in the weights here. FOXENBERG (5) was no match for a very speedy horse at Sale fresh but held on for second. He did beat PICK 'N' MIX (8) when they met back in January and sets up well here. Pick 'N' Mix was okay fresh on synthetic and can improve from the good draw. FEHMARN (4) has won 2/4 to date, a smart winner over this trip at Bendigo last time out. Doing a good job for the Waymouth camp and has to be respected again.
