Verdict

Wide open two-year-old affair to kick off proceedings. STAKES (5) can run well on debut. He's a gelding by Capitalist for the Hayes yard who looked very sharp winning a recent jumpout, cruising to the line there in fine style. Expect he measures up first time of asking. ASTON (3) has had two runs to date, getting home strongly in good splits last time behind an impressive winner in Mbube. He's up and running and should be hard to hold out. PORTINARI (15) resumes having been pitched up in the G2 Blue Diamond Prelude on debut, covering ground there out wide behind subsequent G1 winner Streisand. She's since spelled and has jumped out very well, keeping safe. LUCKY BROOK (11) is a filly by Lucky Vega on debut for the Eurell yard who has won a number of jumpouts leading in and looks ready to go. RUBARE (4) won here two back and will roll forward from out wide, she should stick on.
