He's got 162lbs, but it's hard to go against THE MIGHTY SPAR (1) who is unbeaten in four runs here and is within 6lbs of most other runners in the race. GOLDEN GARDEN (5) is the up-and-comer who could test the topweight coming off a nice win over the fences at The Bool and suspect he has more to give. FABALOT (3) has been a model of consistency this prep who is ready for a crack at the fences. Very good over the fences last campaign with wins at Terang and Coleraine. CASTROFRANCARU (4) got within seven lengths of the champ Stern Idol in the Brierly, which looks good form for this although admittedly it has been a while since his last victory in May 2023.
