DEADLY PRESS (1) goes on top. He's in fine form of late, a narrow winner two back at Seymour over Centu Cavaddi who has franked that form. He tried hard last time at Cranbourne when beaten under a length over this trip and should get every hope from barrier four with Stackhouse on. CANNY DEFENSE (3) is racing in career-best form. He won a Class 2 in Adelaide two back and was good again there last time, expecting he can bring that form across the border. PLACENTIA BAY (5) resumes. He got over further last time in and may need this one but has ability and should run a bold race fresh. BOTH SIDES NOW (2) resumes. She's only off a short spell so should have some residual fitness and look for a betting push. BALTIC BLIZZARD (8) is better than her past couple.
