Verdict

BIG ROOSTER (2) broke his maiden three starts back and has not been far away since, most recently when beaten 2.25 lengths into third over 6f at Hamilton. Draws to play a key role once again. REGAL ASCEND (11) progressed nicely last start when she worked home well to finish a close second over 6f at Mornington after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she cannot be overlooked. DANCING DOLLY (8) looked like she'd turned the corner last prep with back-to-back wins, but hasn't got into the top three since and while she will need luck from the draw she was kept up to the mark with a recent jumpout win. Gets her chance here. JAWSOME ROB (3) will find this tougher than last start, but he was first-up there and looks progressive. GREY SECRET (6) was poor at the first run for the new stable but ran well in much better races than this earlier in the year, so it might pay to give another chance.
