Verdict

WONDERDOWNUNDER (8) has improved at each of his three runs and only found one better last start. Draws well here and the benefit of a run at 1m could prove vital. WHAT ABOUT JUNIOR (7) hadn't done a lot at the jumpouts before the debut but was kept safe there and might not have loved the Heavy track. Better ground here suits, as does the rise in trip for the son of Fiorente. CUSHIONED (10) was tested in town first-up and while never a factor, she'll be fitter and better suited here despite the wide gate. Also gets the blinkers, which could spark improvement. LUFITAAH (11) disappointed first-up when heavily-backed to start odds-on, but jumped out too well prior to write off. Best give another chance.

Second-up. First-up after nine months 6th of 10 at Sandown-Hillside 3yo Mdn-Sw on February 25 over 6 ½f, on a slow track, 2.75 len behind Sparkling Luck carrying 128lbs at $6. Previously second-up ran on strongly from last on the turn, 3rd of 9 at Kembla Grange Super 2yo Mdn on April 19 over 7f, 0.7 len behind Just A Journey carrying 127lbs at $16. Fitter for that run in town and expected to be in the finish this time.

Form hard to fault. Most recently tracked the speed and boxed on steadily 2nd of 10 at Seymour 3yo Mdn-Sw on February 20 over 1m, 0.5 len behind Lunar Force with 128lbs at $4.60. Before that came from midfield, 3rd of 14 at Sale Mdn-Sw on February 1 over 7f, 1.3 len behind Ballistic Blue carrying 130lbs at $11. Been building to a win and gets the blinkers added here.

What About Junior silk

At debut, ran last in a small field at Sale 3yo Mdn-Sw on March 1 over 7f, on rain affected going, 5 len behind Wetumpka with 128lbs at $9. Beaten five lengths on debut but better for that, better suited out to 1m and draws beautifully.
