Open affair. SHOOTER MCGAVIN (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 1.75 lengths when fifth in a 6 ½f contest at Swan Hill four weeks ago. His best synthetic form reads well for this and he can give a sight. BLACKLIP (7) has been kept fresh since sitting on the pace last time but fading to finish fifth over 7f at this track. The placing prior has him right in the mix off a let-up. STORMBOURG (5) has been below his best at his past couple but can improve back a long way in grade from a BM78 last start. Respecting. SONIC SURGE (4) won his maiden here two back and has claims from MANCHEGO (9) who resumes, now with the McEvoy yard - watch the market.
