INFLAMED (1) will be chasing a hat-trick of wins, having sat handy and drawing clear to win the G3 South Island Breeders' Stakes over 1m here 3 weeks ago. She has earned her top weight, but is still the one to beat again. SIR ALBERT (2) was unsuited and needed his last start at Ashburton over 6 ½f 9 days ago when well beaten. The extra 1 ½f is the key, and with less time between runs, a form reversal is on the cards. WITZ END (3) was a brave fifth in the G3 White Robe Lodge two back and then delivered as the favourite over 7f here 3 weeks ago, and while this field is stronger, he has been racing well enough to go close to repeating the dose. STONYBRECK (7) stuck on gamely for third over 1 ?m here last start, beaten only a neck, and he is peaking at the right time. Opie Bosson keeps the ride, and with 3lbs less to carry, he can figure in the top 3 again. OUR APPROVAL (16) has been steadily progressing through the grades.
