CONTEMPLATION BAY (3) was a beaten favourite fresh up in her first run for the Terri Re stable after not stretching out at all on a heavy surface here 11 days ago. She is so much better than that, and on a firmer surface, she can turn that run right around to win this. Follow your money. MISS EMERALD (7) has posted back-to-back wins here in BM65 company off a pair of wide gates, and with 6lbs to carry here, the hat-trick beckons. POGACAR (5) tried hard on a heavy track when resuming in the same race as the top pick, finishing seventh. He won fresh up in the spring and will be close to that sort of form here. Stick with him. SUPER ROSA (6) set up a strong pace and was given no peace at Reefton 4 weeks ago, but she was still too strong, holding on by a nose. She is still on the up with her fitness, and even in a field with more depth, she can figure in the top 3 again. RICHIE'S DREAM (8) has needed all of her 3 starts this season, and should now be ready to show some decent form.
