TIANTAI (8) made a sound debut for fifth, and then improved sharply to finish runner-up at Te Aroha in December before being put aside to mature. She won a recent tune-up trial, and with Opie Bosson in the irons fresh, she will go close to taking this out. MAGIC DREAMS (6) weakened in the run home when making her debut, and then was a solid runner-up here nearly 3 weeks ago. She is peaking at the right time, and can figure in the top 3 again, despite copping a nasty gate. DURRANI (2) has also been freshened up since a last start seventh here in January. She was second at Ruakaka before that, and she should be hitting the line hard fresh up here. BONNIE GEM (1) is overdue for her first win. Each way.
