DEEP PURSUIT (1) has been in good form this prep, and with that time to adjust to NZ conditions after starting his racing career in Hong Kong. He drops 4lbs from his last start second here nearly 3 weeks ago, and he is overdue for his first win. On top. COWBOY (3) is a lightly tried 5YO gelding who showed some talent second up in initial prep when finishing close up in fourth at Whanganui in the spring. He will be a lot stronger now, and a recent Taupo trial placing will ensure that he will be ready to rumble fresh. Each way. PROUD CAPITALIST (11) stuck to her task game when finishing third here last time out, continuing her form improvement this prep. She meets a similar field, and can take this out. BOLD AND BRAVE (6) has been showing talent at the trials, and despite copping a wide gate for his debut, he will have Craig Grylls in the saddle, and the pair merit healthy respect.
