WANGANELLA (9) has been close up in all 3 starts to date, and she stuck on well after being tried in front last time out, finishing fourth as a warm favourite. She will relish the extra 1f, and with Craig Grylls back in the saddle, she gets a big chance to break through for her first win. PASSION 'N' PRIDE (13) improved at her second career start to finish runner up by a head at Whanganui before having a spell that would have done her the world of good. She resumes with a trial under her belt, and she will be ready to rumble fresh. WOLF GOD (2) has been showing plenty of ability in 4 starts to date, including a last start fourth in a tougher field at Matamata just over a month ago.
