HACKSAW RIDGE (9) was far from disgraced when fifth last start in a decent line-up at Central Southland. Put together a string of top-three finishes prior including an Oamaru win so the form reads well. Top chance. SEMBA (7) had been racing consistently before landing a well-deserved win last start at Geraldine. Can continue the strong form. BRYCE'S MEDDLE (8) can mix the form but would measure right up here if he reproduced his effort for second at Addington last month. SMOKE ON THE WATER (10) enjoys a nice class drop on recent attempts so looking for a spike in form this time.
