Verdict

FALAKEYAH looked a top prospect when running away with a listed race over C&D in May and having paid the price for overexuberance at Royal Ascot, the application of a first-time hood may see her get back on track on return to 1¼m. Skellet should be spot on for this and shapes as though he'll improve for the step up in trip, while Charlotte's Web looks well worth another chance back on better ground. The form of Sand Gazelle's Curragh second has been franked and she should go well again.

Falakeyah silk

Made it 2-2 when an impressive winner of the listed Pretty Polly over C&D in May but disappointed when supplemented for the Group 1 Coronation Stakes (1m) at Royal Ascot in June, her exuberance getting the better of her. Dangerous if first-time hood has the desired effect back over 1¼m.

Skellet (Ire) silk

Highly tried in 2024 but signed off with success in a Sandown listed race in September. Well backed but too fresh on return at Epsom in June and still looked rusty following a further 3 months off at Sandown in August. Should be spot on for this and shapes at though 1¼m will suit. Solid claims.

2
Charlotte's Web (Ire) silk

Developed into a smart type on the all-weather and proved every bit as effective on turf when a narrow winner of a listed race at York (11.9f) in August, having travelled smoothly. That looks solid form and she's best forgiven a blip on softer ground at Yarmouth last time. Better expected here.
