Verdict

ALTO SAX has been better than the result on his last 2 outings and continues to look fairly treated on the form of his near miss at Leopardstown last month. Good Man Jack shaped quite nicely at Galway on his handicap debut given he met a bit of trouble on the home turn and this unexposed sort is second choice ahead of Colin Keane's mount Kc Bear, whose overall consistency since handicapping provides hope that he can bounce back from a lesser effort last time.

Latest win at Fairyhouse in June. Also a good second at Leopardstown (9f) in July and not seen to best effect on both outings since. Might prove the answer.

Kc Bear (Ire) silk

Progressed again when getting off the mark in 6f handicap at Dundalk in December. Good in-frame efforts on first 3 outings this year and the type to bounce back from a lesser run on all-weather last time (reported to have coughed post race). Colin Keane retains the ride.
