Verdict

ARTOIS (1) turned in a fine effort to win by 1.5 lengths at today's track and distance when resuming from a break last start. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. KOONDAKAARA (2) has been in the money at his last couple of runs, the latest when second over 5 ½f at this track. Strong record with Ph Seow in the irons, including a win. Best form puts him right in this. TO REMEMBER (4) resumes from a spell of eight months and is having his first outing under new trainer J Leck. Finished sixth at Cranbourne over 7f at the opening run last time in work. Sure to make his presence felt. SUPERIOR SIXTY ONE (8) doesn't win out of turn but ran a nice race when resuming from a spell last time out over 5 ¾f at this track, finishing third and beaten 1.2 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating another bold showing.
