AXEL ROSE (6) resumes from a spell of five months after closing off last campaign in good form, scoring at his last appearance over 1 ½m at Central Southland Raceway. Sure to be right there at the finish. BLUE COLLAR (2) had to dig deep to score at the most recent appearance over 1 ½m at this track, getting home by just a neck. A nice draw on the front line should ensure a cosy run. That latest effort is good enough to put him right in the finish. DIDN'T DI (4) is in the mix following a respectable third at his most recent appearance over 1 ?m at Addington. BIRDY (1) showed pleasing improvement last time out when runner-up over 1 5/16m at Motukarara Raceway.
