VAL THORENS (9) finished 11th last start, beaten 195 metres at Motukarara Raceway over 1 5/16m. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. GO HOME DENISE (13) failed to live up to expectations when second at a short quote last start at Motukarara Raceway over 1 5/16m, finishing 3 metres from the winner. Will need a bit of luck negotiating a very wide starting position. Meets a similar line up and she is capable of a much better performance. KOWHAI SUNBURST (10) was responsible for a better effort last time out when third over 1 ¼m at Rangiora. Should run a big race. RIDGE (18) is in the mix after turning in a better effort last start to finish third at Rangiora over 1 ¼m.
