Verdict

PRESIDES (1) won a comparable race to this on the outer track when fresh from a spell two back. Tackled a Midway at Gosford last start and was never a hope after copping early interference. Back in his right race and gets in well after the claim. Can bounce back to winning form. Sparingly raced filly KOSRAE (9) justified her $2.15 quote with an effortless maiden win over today's journey at Bathurst 18 days ago. Needs to go to another level this time but she looks up to the challenge. RIVER PAT (11) has turned in a couple of eye-catchers this prep, chiming in late to grab third over 5 ½f on each occasion. Has a strong record at this trip and handles the going so she makes plenty of appeal. Veteran ALL MACHIAVELLIAN (7) is fitter for two runs back from a spell. Won't want it any worse than soft though to show his best. FABRICE (2) trialled well at Gosford recently and looks set for a bright return from a 14-week spell.
