Verdict

IN'KANTOSSTAR (8) is clearly the one to beat and the early betting reflects that. Two starts this time in have resulted in two very soft wins, sent out $1.24 first up and doing it easily before beating Yauson at Geelong who was heavily backed and bolted in next start. Up to 7 ½f looks ideal and he draws perfectly - only bad luck beats him. BARKING MAD (7) didn't fire last time at Randwick in a strong race. His form prior in Sydney was rock solid and must respect Waller switching states. PRINCEOFNOTTINGHAM (2) has won two of his past three for the Michelle Payne yard, off a freshen here and away from his favoured synthetic but he'll get a dry track and is racing very well. KATSUMI OROCHI (9) was okay first up behind the favourite and can improve on drier ground. THE BENCHMARK (11) struggled last time but is in the minor mix.
