SORRENTO PALACE (8) handy mare with the good record over this track and trip. Took control early in the heavy (9) going when she showed plenty of grit to secure second over 6f at Bathurst in a strong rating contest. Gets map favours and can score a well deserved victory. CONDONE (1) shed his Maiden tag two-back with a fighting win over 6 ½f at Warwick Farm in a Super Maiden. Big jump in grade with a fading eighth over 6 ½f at Warwick Farm in BM72 class. Now in the Mack Griffith yard and gets his chance in this easier race with the claim. TRIPTOLEMUS (6) progressive gelding resuming. Came to the end of his prep with a tiring fourth over 7f in the Canberra Guineas Preview last February. Blinkers go on and the winkers come off. Looks set for a good campaign. ACE OF LACE (10) had no luck from awkward gates at all four runs this prep and finally comes up with a good marble. Can race a closer and play a leading role. ROTHGATE (3) drops further in weight and has his hoof on the till.
