Very average contest. BROGANS CREEK (1) tough old gelding who returned with an eye-catching third over this trip at Orange. Comes to hand quickly and well drawn with Stiff's 4lbs claim. Hard to hold out. EL BEATLE (2) is holding his form this campaign and was rewarded for his consistency with a fast finishing victory over 5f at Port Macquarie. Only has to hold his form to salute again. XAPHAN (7) back in trip after mixing her form of late. Raced below her best with a poor eighth over 6 ?f at Orange. Not far away at Cowra two runs back and deserves another chance. PRESS GAZE (3) five weeks between runs when back in trip for a sound on pace victory over 5f at Warren.
