Verdict

SUPERMASSIVE (5) went fast on resumption, scoring by a long neck over 6 ¼f at Canterbury. Had won two metro trials and jumped a $2F. Led and won his Maiden easily there second-up last time, and the speed-bred gelding has plenty of scope for improvement. Can skip over and control the race and he can take the next step. SANCTIFIED (11) looked a run short placing second here first up. He's up to this at best and maps for a soft on-pace run. Has each way claims. Ditto INVADER ZIM (9), who resumes with JMac engaged. Goes well enough fresh and has trialled. Was spelled off a peak effort in stronger and draws inside. JACOB'S LADDER (14) grabbed a well-earned place when narrowly beaten over 6f at Gosford first-up. Matched his best number and can build on that in this preparation. Proven second-up and carries 4lbs less at this level. Has been kept on the fresh side, and Zac Lloyd stays aboard. Include at a price.
