Verdict

PEYTON (5) is an interesting first starter for the O'Shea/Charlton yard. By Zoustar from Mildred who could really hum along. Unbeaten at the trials so he can't do much more. THE NEXT EPISODE (7) went around in the Golden Gift on debut in November and failed to measure up. Rock solid in the market at $7.50 that day so he obviously has a lot more to offer. No surprise if he played a big role in this. BAYLIE'S FOLLY (1) is a Stratum Star colt on debut for local trainer Matthew Smith. Has won both of his trials so he is clearly a talented juvenile. BELVANTE (2) tailed off behind Paradoxium in the Wyong Magic Millions race in December, his only appearance to date. Will find this easier - keep a close eye on the market. ZENSEN (9) struggled on debut in the Skyline but is worth another chance back in midweek company. STEEL WILL (6) is a Waller first starter well found in early markets. Appears to be a quality colt.
