DONATELLO (1) returned from a four-month spell with an impressive win over 7 ¼f at the Illawarra Grange, overcoming a chequered passage to burst through late and score. Beaten under a length in metro Saturday company last prep so he can certainly handle this class rise. Should enjoy a nice sit behind a decent tempo and can get the job done again. DIGNIFYING (5) went for a bath in the betting but never looked like losing on debut over 6f at the Grange recently, leading from the get-go. Different class confronts him today but he cannot be sold short. ALADDIN'S GIRL (4) proved her first-up win at the provincials was no fluke when runner-up over 6 ¼f at the Kensington track last time. Sure to appreciate getting out to this longer trip. The speedy DEVIL WINGS (7) goes up a level today but looked good on debut. RUMDABAR (6) can improve on a sound first-up effort, and the engagement of J Mac will not go unnoticed by the market.
