LUCONI (4) found more like his best, winning comfortably over this distance on the Gold Coast synthetic. He's raced well on turf in stronger than this and has been kept on the fresh side. Has the inside gate and can go on with it. TOBA (14) resumed as favourite at Ipswich but was slow off and had too much to do. The step up in trip suits, and he should go close. BAVARIAN LADY (5) bounced straight back into the winners' stall at Toowoomba leading and winning a 60 by 2.8L over 1 5/16m. Comes back plenty in trip but she's been kept on the fresh side and maps well. Has a 3lbs claim and has to be considered. BLUE CHIP GIRL (6) dropped back to a sprint placing at Toowoomba. He was a big winner there three back, and 7 ½f suits. Has a 7lbs claim today and that brings her right into it.
