Lightly raced mare OFCOURSEIAM (6) improved sharply last start when second-up from a spell, leading until the dying stages over 5 ½f at Armidale. Won't mind the extra ½f and with 4kgs less today she will be difficult to run down. GELSEY (4) made a good impression when fresh from a seven-month spell last time out, working home well to get up for third over 5f at Gunnedah. Second-up form isn't always as good but with a soft run assured from the inside gate she should be highly competitive. EVONY (9) led from the outset and just held on to collect her maiden win recently over this trip at Grafton. Heading the right way and from a nice gate can feature in the finish again. MCLOVIN (2) returns from a six-month break and is a new arrival in the Cavanough yard. Best Victorian form should stack up. Recent trial placegetter who looks ready to run. MONTGOLFIER (5) found 5f a bit sharp when resuming at Port Macquarie - can improve out to this trip with the run under the belt.
