Verdict

In a very plain maiden the first starter KAKODA (6) looks the one to beat. Has only trialled once and trounced her rivals over 4 ½f at Scone. Nicely drawn and if that trial form converts to race form she should be winning. THIRTY DEGREES (4) ran a much better race last start when lining up for the second time, making a little late ground to finish fifth over 4 ½f at Scone. Can improve further over an extra ½f today. SOOBRING IT (3) failed on debut at Newcastle and has subsequently tackled a couple of mediocre maidens at Inverell and Glen Innes and filled minor placings. Top three chance again if he holds that performance level. SPELLECAST (2) showed early toe but weakened out of it on debut over this distance at Gunnedah 18 days ago. Open to improvement and worth including in exotics. Market watch on BILLYBAGO (8) who hasn't raced since October 2024.
