Big fields and lots of chances but hard to go past the talented BITTER SPIRIT (5) who has won his last two. Drawn for a good run and building a good record. Expected to go close. LOOMING ONE (6) ran on well to score fresh then was fourth latest here and not beaten far. Fitter and might be over the odds today. SMASHING ROSIE (9) continues to race well, the latest a narrow loss at Rocky. Tricky gate but going well and worth following up. HEART 'N' POWER (10) is a progressive type who comes into this off a last start maiden win. Won by a space and still has upside. Will just need some luck from the horror draw.
