The $75,000 Townsville Guineas. It's hard to knock the form of ILLEGAL JUSTICE (2) who has put back-to-back wins together and is racing in a rich vein of form of late. Winning rider Turner stays on board and maps ideally for this from gate five. Goes on top. ASPEN COWBOY (3) has a win and a placing from three spins around this circuit and will be at peak fitness now fourth run back from the break. Looms as the main danger. BONEWOOD (13) gets the services of Melbourne Cup winning hoop Dolan in the saddle and should be ready for the step-up in trip now. Top-three conveyance with some upside. EXODAS (1) draws a bit sticky but is more than capable enough on his day. Capable of featuring prominently with any luck in running. MISTER DOOBEE (4) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be underestimated.
