ROSE WATER (4) started at prohibitive odds and won accordingly over this course and distance in a Class 1 16 days ago. Holding her form deep into the prep so despite getting up in the weights expect her to be too good again in a race that lacks depth of quality. ARGERICH (9) was scratched from an earlier race to be saved for this. Wasn't all that far away over 1 ¼m here nine days ago. Back in trip but will be running on. HE'S GODSPEED (2) is a chance based on his tough win over the mile at Inverell two starts ago. Blinkers going back on may be the spark required. THE COMANCHE (8) finished a distant second at his latest outing over 7f at Coffs Harbour. Doesn't win out of turn but is a decent each-way chance in a race like this. FAIZA STAR (7) is fitter for two runs back from a spell and cannot be ruled out.
