Verdict

The well-named REDFORD (2) (out of dam Dream Date) has a handy record here on his home circuit with two wins and a second from five spins and will find this easier than recent Listed and metro efforts. Gets the services of Thompson from the favourable draw and should be right there at the business end. TONNEOFGRIT (6) has only missed a drum once in four starts at this track and will be at his peak now fourth-up from the spell. Shapes as a major threat. The well-related SIR CARTER (3) (half to G2 winner Oak Door) was a touch plain last time out but the two wins prior were full of merit. Worth another chance. BATTLETON (4) resumes here but has revved up for this with two recent trials and can run a big race while fresh. ATMOSPHERE (1) rounds out the selections in a competitive affair.
