KING EMPEROR (3) flashed home late on debut and only missed out on winning by a nose. He is going to settle back again from another tough gate, but he carries 3lbs less, and we think that should be enough to see him go one better. RED SAMOVAR (12) was doing her best work late when finishing fifth fresh up at Eagle Farm just over 2 weeks ago, and even though she cops another wide draw, she will find this easier, and she can figure in the top 3 this time. LADY BARBAROSSA (11) was a beaten favourite fresh up at Toowoomba when needing the run. She has been back to the trials, and she is worth another chance, despite drawing off the track. PHOENIX LEGEND (5) will be peaking third up from a spell, and he has always looked capable of winning a race. ROSE OF CHANTILLY (13) did not fire in a tougher field at Doomben last start after missing the kick, but she can make amends in this. Include in all top 4 combos.
