Verdict

SIKKA (8) was well educated before placing heavily bet at Gatton on debut. The well-bred filly has a wide gate to manage, but the 4lbs claim is handy, and she's in the right barn. Will go close on what we've seen. LUCCI (7) trialled well before a half-length defeat here over 5f first up. Finished well and the longer sprint suits with the extra fitness. TORO CHASE (2) was heavily bet narrowly beaten this trip at Doomben. The 4lbs claim is handy but he'll need a good ride from the outside gate. SAVASTEEL (1) won a trial and went close in the Lucci race on debut. Will race forward and also has claims. VIDEO VIXEN (15) was expected to win at the Gold Coast and didn't finish it off. Has the rail and sits down in the weights. Deserves another chance.
