Tricky race to kick off the card with all but one of these babies facing the starter for the first time. MAGANISTA (7) is the one with race experience on her side after hitting the line solidly to place at Rockhampton on debut. Will have derived a stack of benefit from that day at the races and hoop Tilley sticks in the saddle. Should be in the finish. COASTAL BOOM (1) has shown ability in both trials and Rodd stays on top for race day. Can measure up on debut. ACRODANCE (5) was a good Gold Coast trial winner last time and gets the services of gun jockey Maloney in the irons. In the mix. MIDWINTER (3) is another that has shown potential on the trial track and any push in betting must be noted. TOMMY TIE (4) next in line.
