COPPER STAR (1) has been knocking on the door of another victory with three consecutive placings and strikes a very winnable contest here. Has placed three of four over this distance range and gets the services of leading hoop Thompson on the stirrups. Shapes as a leading contender. GIN 'N' JUICE (13) broke the maiden status at Rockhampton last time out and will have taken a bunch of confidence from that breakthrough victory. Can go right on with the job now. HALF MOON ROO (17) gets in light with the claim and will strip fitter second-up from the break. Top-three aspirations. MOET AT MIDNIGHT (8) resumes here but has tuned up for this with a recent trial and has won when fresh before. Respect any push in betting. INQUISITOR (3) next best with Maloney on board.
