Verdict

Chris Waller brings BARBRAY (2) north after three decent runs at Sydney midweekers this prep. Battled on well to be beaten just 1.8 lengths last start over 7 ¾f at the Kensington track. Very fit and that southern form stacks up favourably. WEEKEND SPIRIT (9) took nine attempts but finally broke the maiden last time out, saluting as favourite over 1 m at Beaudesert. Harder task today but there is still improvement to come at just the third run of the campaign. TARTAN TIGER (12) has been about the money at both runs this time in work, most recently when beaten under a length over 6 ¾f at Ipswich. Looking for the mile now so keep her in mind. KAFFIR LILY (10) was 46 days between runs when a moderate fifth over 7f here last Sunday. Can improve over the extra 1f today. BOLD BLAZE (4) has been struggling over longer trips. Last appeared over 1m when successful at Rockhampton four runs back. Each-way claims.
