SILVER SMASH (10) produced a sharp closing burst to score by almost a length over 6f here last start, and with half-a-kilo less to carry, she has the scope to repeat the dose. MR BUBBALUSKI (1) has not featured in his past couple of outings, including a midfield effort at Doomben 11 days ago, but they were both in tougher company to what he meets here. Ben Thompson is back in the saddle, and the pair merits healthy respect. Each way value. PORRISTA (7) showed his customary early speed at Toowoomba when leading for most of the race before fading late and finishing fourth. He is peaking now, and he will again prove tough to reel in. ROCKRATA (17) drops back from 1 ¹/16m, and is not the worst on a wet track at this level. Include in all top 4 combos at some value. STAR VENTURE (8) won't lack fitness, and she is another local who can figure in the finish.
