Verdict

NEPRAVDA (6) had been racing well, including a win in a BM70 over this distance at Doomben three back, before failing last start at Eagle Farm. Draws the fence so this sets up nicely for a return to form. BOLLINGER MISS (7) has been racing well without winning, the latest offering a closing third after missing the start as favourite over 7f at the Gold Coast. Coming back in trip is a small query but she is going well enough to play a key role here. SURREAL ASCOT (4) led all the way for an easy win in a BM65 over 5 ½f at Gatton recently. Responded positively to the addition of winkers that day. Untroubled by an extra ½f so another win is not out of reach. HOPPER (2) charged home late to get up for fourth when resuming over this distance at Eagle Farm last start. Good second-up performer who draws a far better gate this time. Definite contender. The chances look to end there, with CALICO JACK (1) best of the others.
