SUMMATION (10) finished 3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m at Eagle Farm a week-and-a-half ago. Steps up in distance today. Will find this easier than last start and his best form puts him right in this. PEPE (8) made considerable ground in the run home to finish second last start over 1 ¼m at Gold Coast Poly. Expected to be right there at the business end. SIMPLY GOLD (9) was well beaten in stronger company two starts back then found a better race last time and scored by 0.6 lengths over 1 ¼m at Taree. Well placed again and shapes as one of the main hopes. METCALFE (2) doesn't win out of turn but is usually thereabouts and is a must for the exotics players.
