SAN JOSE BOY (1) returned to the winners' stall last time out with a solid Ipswich victory and hoop Thompson stays on top here. Has placed three of four around this circuit and can go back-to-back without surprising. RETAINER (3) grows a leg for rider Tierney who has two wins and a placing from just three steers and again gets the benefit of her 7lbs claim. Draws low and should be right there when the whips are cracking. DECIMUS (6) has been thereabouts in all three runs this campaign and will be ready to peak now. Top-three credentials. MORE FOR READY (7) has placed two of three here and may trouble the judge with any luck in running. ITALIAN DANCER (2) disappointed at the latest effort but the two wins prior were full of merit. Worth another chance.
