TIVACIOUS (4) sets the standard off a solid debut fourth at Eagle Farm on heavy ground, where he was doing his best work late after being hampered at the start and settling back. Rodd sticking adds to the case second-up. MARTINDALE KID (2) resumes after being beaten a stretch on debut at this track when near the top of betting, in what has proven a terrific form reference. A recent trial and the 3lbs claim give him a platform to return better. Debutant HOT'N'SMART (5) has won two 5f trials and has Ben Thompson aboard for David Vandyke. Enough to like there, and it'll pay to watch for the market thinks. SYMMETRIQUE (3) strips fitter and is improving. Keeping safe for a minor spot.
