BACETTI (4) has the most appealing recent form after finishing fourth at Doomben, beaten just over a length, following a close third there when near the top of an open market. She has placed at this track, has placed at around the mile and has wet-track placings, so the heavy surface and trip are manageable enough for her to be the runner to beat. POOR OL' JOHNY RAY (3) resumes with a solid body of placing form, including thirds at Moe and Pakenham Synthetic before the break, and a Sunny Coast Inner Track trial second points to readiness. TESTY NIC (6) was checked and tightened when fourth at this track last start, and the apprentice claim gives him a genuine chance to improve into the placings. QUARTZOPOLIS (5) stuck on soundly into second when well supported at Gatton. No easier this time but can fill a minor spot again.
