A rich feature for the babies. SWIFT DRAGON (1) brings compelling form to peak. Won the $500,000 QTIS Jewel 2yo Gold Coast and then went close in the Pat O'Shea Plate at Toowoomba, heavily bet. Has the inside barrier and Wiggins sticks aboard. Won his only start here and is the one to beat. BETTER BLITZEM (2) was only beaten 2.2L in the QTIS Jewel but has to skip across from an outside barrier. Has won 4/5 and is sure to give a big sight. COAL SEAM (5) was beaten a whisker here first-up in an Open 2. This is a step up, but he has plenty of scope for improvement, and Stanley takes over from Wiggins. Should enjoy a soft run from an inside gate, and he can make the finish. The speedy MISSILE BABY (9) really knuckled down to beat the above on debut. The gate is awkward, but she's sure to keep improving. DUB STEPPING (3) went well enough at Mackay last time to include in the multiples.
