PRIDE OF VENUS (6) has won 2/3 this preparation, with the latest over 5 ½f this grade. Keeps improving and stays down in the weights. Maps well and can go on with it. Stablemate KATHY'S BEAU (4) brings strong form to resumption and has won 2/4 fresh. Owns a recent trial and the track, and 4x winning rider Stanley is a positive jockey booking. He will use the inside barrier and will be right in it. ASTRA STAR (8) made good improvement over 7f at Gold Coast after racing on the pace. Keeps Cormack and races well this course and distance. Rates to fight out the finish with average luck in the run. TIZSO FAB (7) is free running and won here this grade/trip two back. Was plainer last time but goes into the multiples at least.
