BOOM CHIKA WOW (2) is a Brave Smash first starter from the Kendrick stable. Took out a recent trial on the Sunshine Coast inner track in great style. Half-brother to the talented stakes placegetter Countyourblessings who looks ready to hit the ground running. BALKAN MELODY (10) didn't show her customary early speed at Mackay last start and could only manage fifth in a disappointing effort in the 5 ½f maiden. Nicely drawn and if she gets away this time a better result looks on the cards. Pat Webster brings IN THREE DEE (4) to the races for the first time. Has trialled twice, the latest offering a comfortable win on the Toowoomba inner track. Four of his five siblings to race are winners. Expect him to be competitive. CIPHER DASH (3) raced poorly over 6f here last start after a positive debut over 5 ½f the run prior. Draws the fence and can improve dropping back in trip. GLEN'S HEN (7) best of the others first-up after an 18-week spell.
