Verdict

HAPPY BELLIE (7) led for home and looked a chance but she found one better late when resuming from a long break over this distance at Gosford last time out. Fitter for that hit-out and with Nash going on she might prove tough to catch. MIA BALLERINA (8) has been in the money at all three runs this time in work, most recently over 5f at Kembla when handy all the way. Cherry ripe and from gate one is a definite contender. SIESTA (9) is back after a twenty-week absence. Competitive at all three runs in the maiden prep. Looks ready for this judging by a soft trial win at Warwick Farm on 3 March. IMPERIAL STATE (2) returns from a five-month break as a gelding so he can improve on what we saw last time in work. EMERY (5) did a fair job in the two runs of her maiden prep. In the mix first-up from a nineteen-week spell.

Form hard to fault. Last start 3rd in a small field at Kembla Grange Mdn-Sw on February 25 over 5f, slow going 1.5 len behind Be Quiet with 125lbs at $2.90. The start before that rolled along in front before being edged out 2nd of 7 at Wyong F&M Mdn on February 13 over 5 ½f, 5.5 len behind Written Scandal with 130lbs at $2.60. Great chance to win with the aid of the inside alley.
